Northern Echo - Karl Darlow is our top GK target

He is very vocal and has that bit of good cocky arrogance you need as a keeper. Think our fans would take well to him.
 
In 52 games that he's played in a Newcastle team that's been completely understand the cosh at times, he's made 3 saves a game.
He's kept 9 clean sheets, which if you think how shambolic defensively Newcastle have been for several seasons now isn't bad going.
I looked at his stats on the official PL site, he's a very steady pair of hands, especially at chsmpionship level.

Considering our last 2 1st choice keepers have been to easy to beat. He'd be ideal.

Northern Echo also state we're in for Daniel Iverson and we've asked Leicester to keep us informed

Yeah, but they signed Dubravka mid-season specifically to replace Darlow as number one and he'd been dropped repeatedly before then anyway.

He is good enough to start in championship top end no doubt about it. Think he is a decent penalty saver too. When Newcastle first signed Dubravka he was next level so it's no surprise that darlow was dropped.

Not sure of my opinion on that, I forget why he was dropped by Newcastle in the first place.

We’ve been in for him before haven’t we?

I know we were after Matz Sels before he signed for Newcastle.

Good club to look at lower/mid table prem side looking to go top.. they’ll be looking to offload a lot of decent players. Plus the move shouldn’t be too much of a big deal for players families etc.

Yeah I think you're spot on, Good goalkeeper at the top end of the Chsmpionship, potentially bottom end PL, but Dubravka was just that next step in their eyesm
Just progression unfortunately for him
