What you do know is he got a yellow

What you don't know is if he did it deliberately, and as said above, a throw away line on a comedy podcast is no basis of fact
 
I don’t actually mind Gary O’Neil. Seems like a decent bloke whenever I’ve seen him interviewed recently.


Wilder, on the other hand…
 
It staggers me that there are so many Gary O'Neil sympathisers on here, just because he is doing ok in his management career.

The bloke stole a living from our club while he was here and effectively admitted it. He had a lot to give and chose not to bother. I can not stand him for that and that alone.

It staggers me even more when you read the criticism of our current players on this board after a dreadful defeat yesterday. So, hammer the current lot who are in a bad place right now but I don't think there is a bad one amongst them, and spaff over Gary O'Neil.....I just dont get it.

Why are people doubting it happened when errr it did happen.
 
I don’t think he did “steal a living” here.

Limited ability maybe, but he always put a shift in though…. Not his fault if we gave him a 4 year contract on silly wages.

Ok so things that definitely happened didn’t happen if it doesn’t suite the narrative.
 
I know I'm in the minority but I didn't mind GON when he was here. As said above he always put a shift in but just lacked a bit of quality, especially in the final third (would fit in well in the current squad perhaps...)

Doing very well at Wolves. Was on our radar along with Edwards for the job after Wilder wasn't he?

- him getting booked? Definitely happened.

- getting booked deliberately so he could go and play golf or whatever he said in a podcast? Pinch of salt.

As he got booked in our relegation battle intentionally to watch golf on tv.
 
Couldn’t stand O’Neil has a player - I remember at the time we were first linked with him he were also linked with Matt Taylor and I was gutted when it turned out to be O’Neil we signed.

I didn’t like the whole booking for Golf anecdote either but they’re young lads, of course they’re gonna do that stuff. It’s the equivalent of pulling a sicky. It’s their job at the end of the day.

Don’t really care about him as a manager, he’s doing an impressive job.
