Previously unreleased version of the record has now come to light. Its an interesting listen, including a studio version of Walrus.
Na it’s just come about randomly but experience tells me these things are usually at least semi intentional.Ooo, interesting - will give that a spin.
Is it part of an official release being touted or just something that's surfaced randomly?
They'd had a lot of trouble recording the album.
Little such trouble opening threads about it tho!Not as much trouble as I have listening to it.
Slide Away is in my top three Oasis songs along with Supersonic and Acquiese.Love the rawness and innocence in Liams vocals (especially Slide Away), don’t get me wrong it really needed the magic that Owen Morris provided but what a great listen 30 years later.
I’m sure as usual they will be loads of negative comments but cheers for posting Atypical and you’re right these things never really happen by accident.
I love James Hargreaves’ stuff. He has some fairly obscure interpretations about a lot of Oasis content but it is always entertaining and thought provoking to watch. This is a good watch.
Yes I think this version of Slide Away is awesome.Love the rawness and innocence in Liams vocals (especially Slide Away), don’t get me wrong it really needed the magic that Owen Morris provided but what a great listen 30 years later.

First saw them in October 1993 when they finished their 6 song support set with I Am The Walrus and left the stage to a wall of feedback. I thought at the time they were doing Walrus as they didn't hav enough songs of their own

Who?I was one of the 200,000 people who saw them play Middlesbrough Arena in April 94 as part of the joint headline tour with Whiteout. I dont think I missed a Friday at the Arena in about 6 years and so plenty of bands come and go. I remember talking to Graham Ramsay, who booked them, both before and after the gig, he was raving about them whereas I was adamant that Whiteout were the better band and Oasis weren't all that.
That's why my career as an A&R man never really took off, especially when you look at some of the other bands I was determined would be massive based on their Arena shows, such as Blubber, Jocasta, Bis, 3 Colours Red ......
Who?
I've opened the thread and out of respect for @atypical_boro and other Oasis fans I will refrain from commentingI’m sure as usual they will be loads of negative comments but cheers for posting Atypical and you’re right these things never really happen by accident.
