Of the 7 on stage last night who would most improve this current side

If you had to pick just one in their prime to put into our current set up and to adopt to how we are now and how we play

who would you pick ( pleas note Juno not an option as he’d walk into any side in any era).

Really tough choice but I would pick Southgate, just, ahead of Boateng.

Having a manager on the field to talk the lads through it would make a massive difference, on top of his own ability as a defender.

I preffered Massimo over Nemeth, so given the paucity of options upfront I'd go with Maccarone but I don't think anyone chosing Boateng or Southgate would be wrong, I mean all seven would start atm.

I think Southgate was the best player, just, but I think we're crying out for a top quality defensive midfielder so obviously I'd go for Downing.

Or Maybe Boateng, I suppose he could do a job there.

Gareth Southgate for me although any of them individually would massively improve the team.

George. The result stats based on when he played and when he didn't were night and day. If he ever had a spell out injured we'd instantly get better when he returned.

One of those players who you maybe don't realise how good he is until he didn't play. I'm sure we all did know. One of those you'd maybe not notice. He wasn't flashy or had tricks/goals etc. Just a dam good CM. Nothing went past or through him. A constant 8/10 every game.

Also French Frank. What a signing he was . He could become our 12th LB this season lol.

Boateng for me too. So many of the chances we concede come from opponents waltzing through our midfield unchallenged, that just doesn’t happen with Boateng around.

We need passers not destroyers in our midfield. We concede goals because we give the ball away in dangerous positions because our players aren't good enough at building from the back.
