We are in 3rd place. Earlier in the week we beat Málaga away 0-3. Much to the disgust of another poster on here. Then first and second place both won yesterday. So we are still 4 points behind the top 2.

UPDATED: Locals tend to drink tinto de verano rather than sangria.

Ah the sangria is just for the dumb tourists, nice one, teesside should get a local drink to rip tourists off with, but that's another thread.

The other one - although over 6` tall, doesnt impose himself and spends more time a yard short of the ball than having a go.
Time to refresh and start with a decent forward line. (y)

Tinto de verano translates as red (wine) of the summer. It is a lovely drink in the warm weather.

You can buy it pre-mixed in bottles. However I think it is better to do it yourself. It is red wine (can be cheap stuff), gaseosa (a brand name for something that is like clear diet lemonade) and some ice cubes. Without any added fruit. It says on the internet you can serve it with a slice of lemon.

So sangria without the fruit juice. Ages since I have been in Spain, actually ages since I have been anywhere. Sitting under a brolly on a sidewalk tavern with a cold beer sounds pretty good right now. Of couse I would have to ignore my wife, who finished her diet coke 20 minutes ago and wants to walk round the local fish market followed by a walk round the cotton market, followed by a Tina Turner tribute drag act... Oh wait a minute that was Portugal.

I don't know if I am alone in this, but I quite like Fletcher, who I am assuming you are referring to. He looks like a footballer and does score the odd goal in an interrupted boro career.

Hes had a lot of time, but been unfortunate with injuries. Dont think it will do him or the club any harm to have a change. (y)
