On a night of very few positives: Morgan Rogers

Turning into a serious player.

I’ve been critical in the past of his ability to hold up the ball and his stomach for the fight. But he was superb today… showed great strength in his hold up play, coupled with his great pace and dribbling ability.


Could be a decent Akpom replacement, if he could just add 30 goals a season to his game

Needed some quality around him today. Instead he was stuck with that clown Greenwood. He did not deserve to be on the losing side.

He’s getting better and better. He’s got great ability and I think it will show even more if we ever get Coburn, Hackney and McGree on the pitch together.

Looks good playing in his natural role. Think he would have really benefited from having McGree in the team today. Those two would link well together I feel.

Probably the only positive in the second half was that Rogers' performance.

He’s class. That turn and run in the first half from his own half was incredible. Shame he couldn’t finish it. Thought Rogers and Jones were our best players today.

Looked far too lightweight at the start of the season but from what I’ve seen, today was his best performance for us. If he gets the consistency he is going to be one of the best players in this league.

Still makes the wrong decisions at times, particularly in the last third, sort that out, then he could be a great player.
