I listened to a Rav interview with Bernie recently, that was done while he was at Lazio, and he was still seething about Robbo not making any subs.
 
Everyone in the ground could see that two or three of our players were out on their feet, it would also have broken up the momentum that Lester had at that time.

In an alternate reality, we hang on to win, all is right in the camp, stay up easily after sending the kids out to play at Blackburn and we win the FA Cup last game of the season...

OK, I realise this isn't entirely serious and I'm probably being pedantic, but the Blackburn game was scheduled for December, so winning the cup wouldn't have made any difference even on a psychological level.
 
Has anyone ever watched the cup final defeats again? I have watched the full 90 of the cup win and the two comebacks two or three times each. Never seen a second of the defeats. Apart from that sodding do Matteo goal.

When I'm watching the comeback games when it gets to the end I always get nervous and think we are going to run out of time. Caught myself shouting "get it up the pitch!" at the telly once.

In MY alternate reality we played Blackburn after the League Cup final...

Exactly this. Not seen the Leicester game(s) back since and like yourself have never got past the first minute against Chelsea. The others though, can't get enough.
 
That fukken Chelsea goal used to turn up on one of the CD Encyclopaedias (pre Wikipedia) Encarta IIRC, you searched for "Soccer" and that nightmare returned. Curse you Roberto Di Matteo, curse you to HELL!
