On way back from Stoke

We play Blackburn, Swansea and Sheff Wed all at home and an away game at Southampton in between them.

Fancy us to get 3 points from that and it coming away from home.

A little scary to think that without the 6pts against Leicester we'd be on the same number of points as the 22nd placed team. This time last year, I genuinely thought we could win every game, we were playing that well. We won't be relegated, but it needs a serious change next season.

I'm not sure it was a smoke screen. Earlier in the season we were losing games we should have been winning. We were missing chances and gifting goals.

The performance today and last Saturday was so much worse. We don't look like creating anything currently.
When I say smoke screen I mean it paved over the issues that have been present all season IMO, the only issue now is it seems to be getting worse.

I know we have had injuries missed chances etc but in my opinion even in last years highs our defensive frailties remain the issue and the fact that as a team we cannot collectively defend.

Gifting goals, this is the managers persistence to ask the players to do things they cannot execute, the game plan needs to be tailored to get the strengths out of the players abilities

And if we had not dropped six points to Stoke and 4 to Rotherham and 2 to sheff we'd we would be in the play offs, it's all relative

If we don't get anybody back from injury then we'll be susceptible to the same approach regardless of how we line up.
We don't have pace other than LL so you know we won't go long with any success. With Barlaser and O'Brien in midfield we'll be susceptible to turnovers close to our box. Playing 3 at the back might make us a bit tighter defensively, but it won't change our ability to create chances. It's sad that we're looking at ways to get a draw out of games.

This is really poor. That is a pathetic bunch of players assembled. None of them looked like they gave a **** today. Only one way we’re going.
I think that’s a little unfair Rav and Clarke played well, and Forss for an hour. There are a couple of others that gave a **** but simply aren’t good enough footballers

I don’t think it’s hash when you mention it as a collective. I do agree with the players you mentioned though. They do care. Some others just don’t for me.

Most of last season and this we have passed the ball around monopolising possession. If we got to half time I always fancied us to win the game as the opposition tired. The last few games our first half performances have been average and our second half performances have been diabolical.

3 points from a possible 15!
Leicester fortunately papered over the cracks and gave us false hopes.
We've been consistently bluddy awful, with a “run” of about 4 decent games before Christmas.
We've no settled midfield, no quality striker or attacking midfielders and no pace.
Furthermore, we have old players picking up a wage, including loanees and average “talent” from the likes of Leeds and Leicester.
Our tactics are woefull and regularly out of sync with the opposition.
We need to play dirty, get stuck in, and stop pzzing about with fancy tricks over the remaining games.
Teesside and Boro fans from elsewhere will support the lads if they put in a shift and lose.
Some of our rag-bag don't know what a “shift” is.
Really disappointing season.
Whilst we're at it, the club's PR has been absolutely dire this season, and they want us to fork out for season cards, with no idea how we intend to go forward during the summer and into next season.
We still have to back the lads, no matter how painful, but some of them won't be getting a “farewell” card come the end of the season.

That comes down to midfield control we don’t control midfield and move the ball quickly with Barlaser and obrien

Shift is the word Roofie. Unlike us, the Stoke players put a genuine shift in, they fought for everything and Bae was a joy to watch with his dribbles, backheels and flicks
