Only one thing left to do now for both teams....

Hull pushed the boat out financially in January didn’t they? I’d be interested to know their FFP position after this season.

I’m sure Kieran Scott briefly mentioned them in an interview a few a months ago. He seemed perplexed as to how they could afford to spend so much (either that or I have completely dreamt it).

Seems like a high risk strategy with the league being so competitive this season. It’s partly why I think we didn’t go for it. We were a little too far back and the play offs are guaranteed to be a minefield.
 
Both teams are finished, I'd have been nearly happy* for Hull to win last minute, just for some jeopardy at the end of the season

*I'd obviously been happier if we'd won!

Can't see how they'd be finished when they can still match the maximum points tally we could have managed if we'd won tonight.

Unless you thought we were already finished before tonight, of course.

I don't think Hull will make the play-offs, but I'd still have a bit of hope if Boro had a game in hand on the teams above us.
 
Hull not only need to make the playoffs theyve gambled on promotion. Otherwise goodbye loan players and hello worry about their financial situation.

Think they can still get 77 points. We could have only got 76 had we won tonight.
 
Neither Boro nor Hull had a chance of getting to 6th.

Coventry is the team that could do it, a five point gap, but crucially a good goal difference. The FA Cup might get in their way though.
 
Did you hear the sound of that door closing? That was us putting the deck chairs back in the beach hut and getting back to business.

Hull City to beat L**ds in the playoff final.
