Was voted the worst place to live before even though some of our signings who retired with us stayed in the area for a long time and some still are, i know its more Yarm area they live but still around here, i bumped into Mendieta at the tip about a year after he retired, Mcclaren still has a house in Yarm, and theres more and to think we are a little Town we have done extremely well to compete like we have and that's why we should all just get behind the Manager/team and enjoy the ride. UTBOver 6,000 for some away league games in the Xmas holiday periods shows how the club is woven into the fabric of the area and its people.
That 6,000 is for a town based club, from what is described as an unfashionable and very deprived area.
If thats true then thats disappointing to here and hope its just a minority and the culprits get the deserved punishment because it spoils it for everyone else. Surely you cant get a better drug than watching the boys win 2-1 away from home and playing better football in the process, but theres always bad apples and shouldn't reflect on the true fans. The away support is brilliant and it must be said it's the same for Newcastle and Sunderland. As for Boro though, there's been worrying reports the last day or two about certain fans behaviour - drug taking, aggression, using women's toilet (by blokes) and groping women. That is not good.
Well said. The majority I reckon are there to follow their team and are good decent people. If thats true then thats disappointing to here and hope its just a minority and the culprits get the deserved punishment because it spoils it for everyone else. I was at that match, it was quite moving.Brilliant statement and i totally agree, look at what Billy Sharp said about us after his Baby sadly passed away and his first game back was at home against us (Doncaster) and our away fans started shouting his name and he said it will stay with him forever (even though he didn't sign for us ) and look how we supported Leo and in return made him return back here.
I don't think a few out of all our fans that travelled should dampen the genuine supporters and how they got behind the team. But it does leave a sour taste when you hear them type of storiesStories emerging over the last week or so have soured that view. Hard to be proud when the things reported are going on. It’s not everyone of course, but still..
Thats what i like to hearI was in their equivalate of the West Stand upper and the noise of the Boro fans was immense. It was even mentioned at the after game drinks by the Huddersfield compare. Proud as punch for our away support.
He also apologised to the Boro fans in the room for not giving us a game because we would not let them play lol. Was nice of Josh to turn up to see friends after the game as well.Thats what i like to hear
