Players faking head injuries

It's getting endemic now.. just put Everton v Newcastle on & Branthwaite goes down after 4-5 man challenge & head doesn't hit the ground.. stays down holding head, zero contact..

Another Everton player does the same & Newcastle player, untouched, stays down holding face..

It's way past overdue these events were reviewed & punishment handed out, hopefully sin bin when it arrives..

Way too much - cheating - of the game, by professionals..

What I couldn't understand was Newcastle had the ball on the attack and the ref gave the to Pickford on the restart.
I think it was because VAR had checked it and as the Everton player won the header, it was deemed a foul but no further action.

Might be wrong though. As was only half watching.

Head injury should be a 5 min concussion check off the pitch
( no sub ).
This would instantly stop this feigning of injuries and trying to get opponent sent off for supposed elbow.
Only issue with that is actual head injuries.. esp when is deliberately hit by 'stray' elbow..

Head injury, remove from pitch immediately and be assessed by Dr. Sub to be used for the duration of assessment, Min of say 10 minutes

I’d say 15 minutes assessment but with no substitute

that would stop it …. Boils my p!ss when players do it

Not sure if you are watching the game but Branthwaite, who had the head injury earlier got another knock on the back of his head and you could clearly see the physio shoving a nasal tube up his nose. Now if he needs something to help him clear his head, he should be taken off immediately and be given proper medical treatment.

Football needs to get its house in order regarding head injuries.

It would, but then you'd always be punishing teams because their player has a genuine head injury.
