Can't see it - does Qatar have strict Covid / vaccination entry restrictions? Even if they did special exemptions would be made. Not a chance anything would spoil their World Cup. Not backhanders, bribes, 6000+ worker deaths, 50 Deg heat...... nothing. Especially not Covid. Worry about that in Jan 2023.

Report yesterday (The Observer) saying they are one of a few countries currently trying to understand what happens to the non vaxxed.
Early data is saying non vaxed who get covid are much better protected after having it than vaxed.

Given the 'heat' around this debate - I'll stress this was a report and it wasn't claiming any of this is factual at this stage.

Only read the abstract but it says none vaccinated with previous infection is very slightly better than double vaccinated last vaccination more than 6 months ago with no previous infection. Triple vaccination with no previously infection still better than none vaccination and previous infection. So in summary vaccinations help.

well it certainly has an element of truth in that it drastically reduces your chance.

As for backward, it is in places, I mean the amount of gun nut, stupidly religious, anti-vax, conspiracy loving nut jobs is high, in % and numbers. But then they have a very poor education system unless you are in the top 10%

Alternatively why not have adequate health care services that can cope ? here in the U.K. the Tories have cut 186000 hospital bed since 1986 whilst the population has risen sharply and the population has got older - news flash THEY DONT CARE ABOUT US, unless of course you can wave a big fat cheque at a doc then you can get whatever care you need immediately

It's as fair as any other vaccination requirement. So yes. I needed to get vaccines before I was allowed in to Cuba. This is no different. Also why are footballers special? These rules are applied to everyone

Maybe because these ones were, and still are under trial - they obtained an emergency license for use as I’m sure you know. They have every right to be cautious about taking something for an illness that is of little threat to them, particularly if they’ve already contracted it, which most people have by now
