I deliberated over posting this thread, but its relevant because it reflects on the club and goes Back Page instead of the Boro and the Play-offs.

Police called to Premier League ace Aaron Connolly’s home over bust-up with Love Island girlfriend Lucinda Strafford​

Reality TV star Lucinda Strafford, 22, had an explosive row with Aaron in the early hours.....
Lucinda .......... had to be calmed down by cops at 5.30am last Sunday at the Brighton and Hove Albion player’s West Sussex home.
“She kicked off and police were called. She needed calming down by cops.”
Sussex Police confirmed they went to a “domestic disturbance” at the address.

Connolly, who earns £23,000 a week, is regarded as one of the Premier League’s brightest talents but is on loan to Championship team Middlesbrough.

hmmm. He needs to sort his personal life out and not live it in the papers, it's a distraction on his career.

There's no police statement other than a domestic disturbance, no sense of violence, and it could well be her off the rails more than him. Only third hand comments from neighbours and 'a source' via 'the sun newspaper', so it's dangerous to make any assumptions on it.

He does need to get his personal life settled a bit more, Cloughy would have had him married to a nice homely girl by now.
 
A bit fast and loose with the terminology....

Premier league 'ace' and more so 'Influencer' Lucinda and 'star' of love Island.

I'm not one to give relationship advice. I'm had more than enough lunatics and weirds. Yet I may suggest that dating Love Island 'stars' (used very loosely) isn't the best for a footballer.

These people make a living living a life on social media. Hardly ideal.

The good news is its not effected his goal scoring form 😂

Your right mart from the article it seems largely down to his gf rather than Connolly. I remember being young and struggling to handle matters of the heart.

You are also right that he does need a more settled home life to enable him to concentrate on his job.

Hmm, I saw this. They’ve split up but she comes back to his house in the early hours after a night on the town with her mates.

I guess a hectic celebrity insta lifestyle does not really go fans in hand with getting a professional football career back on track.

Hopefully his personal life gets a bit more manageable and he can get his head down with the footy. All boro fans want to see him do well here, but some of the less favourable comments on social media are closer to the truth than maybe he’d like.

He reminds me a bit of Jesé at the moment.. this season at Las Palmas 2 goals in 16 games after so much promise.
 
I don’t really think this is newsworthy. I hate seeing peoples personal lives played out in public. It certainly doesn’t suggest he has been in any way a troublemaker. Lad sounds like he is all over the place with this lass. She comes across generally as a tad attention seeking and highly strung. For each of their sakes, they should just be left to sort their baggage out in private.
 
To be fair to him this article proves a few doubters on here wrong about him.... he clearly can score away from home.

Nothing really "loose" about calling her a love Island star or an influencer, as she is both. 775k Instagram, same on tiktok with 20m likes, paid promotions left right and centre etc.

I thought it only relevant in that situations like this can seriously effect a player`s focus. There is no suggestion of any wrong-doing. But clearly its not good for him. I wouldnt want it to be personal, but the club may have to deal with the fall-out one way or another? The next six games we need to focus on winning.

Now then r00fie1, I wasn’t referring to your posting it, more that the author thought it newsworthy to write it up.

Hmm, well you don't go on Love Island if you're a shrinking violet or afraid of publicity.
