Prem Spending

I looked at the league table tonight for the first time in ages. If this is the most competitive league in the world some of the others must be terrible.
2 teams then a 12pt gap, 6 more teams and then a 13pt gap to the start of the rest.
I can only see this getting worse with the 5 subs. I'd like to see a total squad size limit not 45 players and another 32 out on loan, and also a salary cap.
