Premier League v Championship

That's like saying I don't want a life saving operation.
If football were purely about the score then fair enough, but just one season in the PL would do wonders for the future of the club finances and accepting the consequential pain of losing a lot of games is something we must do.
That's the dispiriting reality.

I mean...it's nothing at all like saying I don't want a life saving operation really is it. :D

None of the three sides have spent madly this year haven't really given themselves a chance. The sides big signings too Giles, Hamer, Archer etc are top level championship but not proven in the Premier league. They needed to target some Premier league seasoned players.

In terms of the club it is. If you think we've been shopping in B&M this season it won't be long before we are hanging around the bins.

Why? We are pottering along quite nicely. We'll flog another player to cover our losses and carry on.

The reason we have such losses is because of our idiocy trying to chase the premier League at all costs. Britt 15million. Fletcher 7 million. Saville 7 million. A season in the premier League will set us up financially? We went up. And it didn't.

I enjoy watching and supporting my team and this is not league dependent.

If we went up we would not be Burnley, Sheff Utd or Luton.. we’d handle recruitment in our own way. The premier league is tough but it’s not a given that we would fail..

The opportunity to find out is what we’re after. No teams are getting beat 5 or 6 every game and I think the point is.. money.

It keeps us afloat, keep us going allows us the opportunity to improve and hopefully progress.

The stand still is to move backwards.
Spot on if you stay in the championship for season on season teams tend to slip gradually down the league and certainly struggle to compete at the top end of the league. We probably need to be promoted within the next 2 or 3 years or it will be our fate.

we can seel our way out of trouble.. but we can't afford to tread water
