Program subscription

£129/year from MFC thats £5.50/copy to your door!

52 pages in thick though and postage will be around £1.50 for the Club.

£12 cheaper on the link I put on.
I'm hoping I can get to all 23 games , and get them for £69.
Couple of times last season the sellers weren't on the approach to the ground - but I managed to catch sellers who seemed to be 'wrapping up' who still had programmes both times

The whole point of subscribing (magazine subscription, season ticket etc) is to pay a wedge up front (which is good for the company, guaranteed income) and pay less than you would if you bought each magazine, match ticket etc every time they are available to buy (which is more value for the customer)...it doesn't make sense to offer £69 worth of programmes for £129...

It is really hard to offer discounts now for subscribers because of just how much postage keeps on leaping up. And with the introduction of the new coded stamps there is absolutely no way of knowing how much postage will cost after January.

Can they do a pick up option, at the ground or maybe from some centralised hubs/ supermarkets, or even a massively discounted online only option?

Sorry I don't know how the match programme operates - I think it is print on demand - so they pay for the exact number they want.
As for me, in truth I should charge more than £1.50 now but from experience it is very hard to sell an item on the street for anything other than round numbers.

£2 (y)

To be honest in the future that is the horrible decision we will be forced to make. We leapt from £1 to £1.50 many years ago now because it was just so unworkable charging anything in between. Anyway, we will leave that for the future.
Hopefully a few more folk will subscribe to the fanzine as well as the programme before Saturday.

Nobody should criticise you for it though, most should understand that prices have to go up, and you can't fund it out of your own pocket.

Cheers - sorry for hijacking the thread - it wasn't my intention. Just explaining how in general postal subscriptions for items are hard to price up because you cannot know what postal increases will be and now for the very first time you cannot buy stamps in advance (after Jan 2023)

I'm pleased they are doing programmes again this season. Plenty of clubs aren't. I also had a couple of occasions when I couldn't get one from the sellers. The first time I managed to get one in the shop but for the last game of the season they had sold out there as well. I managed to get one from the publishers but they seem to have sold out there now.
