Spain is still very much a "smoking" country in my experience / observation

As an ex (10 years now) smoker, I'm not sure what my thoughts are - filthy habit, but one I enjoyed immensely for many years, and as long as it's not in my face, doesn't bother me if others still do

Totally agree the Militia in my avatar would have had a smoke in between shots @ the Spanish Falange who in turn would had a fag with a priest after carrying a statue of Virgin Mary all day.

Difficult call for me. Only smoked one cigarette in my life. So not a problem for me.

In this case I am only just on the side of education rather than legislation.

It's smoking on terrazas that is the problem for me. Someone else's smoke in your face while you are trying to eat. Horrible

They’re up there with people who throw pints in the air for me.

The arrogance of doing something that directly affects others is wrong. Like people who blast music from homes or in the park.

Had a family holiday in Turkey a month back, stayed near the toddler pool for most of it as I have a two year old and thankfully there was no smoking signs around that area. Still had to tell someone at least once a day to put their cigarette out or move away.

Queuing for things outside is a massive gripe for me as well , a 5 min queue for an ice cream van in a park and some tw6t lights up next to your kids. I will always ask politely to put it out or move away, and most people do as asked and apologise but you get the odd one who tries to get lippy or fails miserably to intimidate but usually backs down quickly when I turn up my aggression. (Maybe something to that aggression thread)

When it’s just me I don’t care but I won’t let people smoke around my kids.

I don't disagree. Just following the logic of society changing for what an increasing amount of people see as important for society.
