Propose a Tav replacement

There's no risk - I don't know why we don't do it more... Boyd-Munce is probably on £500 a week.

Players like Luke Jephcott from Plymouth. Striker who's scored 12 goals last season and 18 goals the season before.... Yeah, he's from League 2, but what's the worse that can happen... We buy him for 200k and sell him for 150k because he wasn't good enough?
Yeah good call, he was scoring goals in League Two as a teenager, anyone that can do that has something and is worth looking at. He has a similar kind of record to Ollie Watkins at the same age and level.....in fact, better.

My first choice would probably be Callum Styles from Barnsley (Maybe put a £2m bid in?).
22 years old, Hungarian international, used to be a LM but played in the CM role last season - Can also play RM and possibly CDM.

I like O'Hare, Willock, Bowler, etc... but I think Callum Styles is the closest "like for like" replacement in terms of attributes.

Total wildcard, and he's definitely not as good as Tavernier... But I think we should throw £1 million in for Paddy Lane from Fleetwood too.
He's 21, played for Northern Ireland U21s with Boyd-Munce, and he was league 1 young player of the year last season.
He had 13 goal contributions in 37 games for a team which nearly got relegated. He can also play CDM.

We could also use the money we've got to build a younger squad for future seasons...
CB - Ronnie Edwards from Peterborough (19)
RWB - Alex Scott from Bristol City (18)
LB/CB - Shadrach Ogie from Leyton Orient (20)
CM/CDM - Jordan James from Birmingham (18)
CM/CAM - Finn Azaz from Plymouth (21)

Loads of championships clubs do it every season, and have done it this summer.
Huddersfield just signed Jack Rudoni from Wimbledon for 800k.
Never seen him play or know how good he is but I really want us to sign Shadrach Ogie.
Edit- just seen a youtube vid and I have changed my mind!

Sander Berge

Best central midfielder in the Championship who could easily play for a mid table Premier League side

They paid £20m odd for him so won't let him go cheap. You're right though, he's class. Think he'll be playing in the Prem by September 1st though.

I never really pay any attention to the opposition and rarely notice any of their players. In fact during my 30 years supporting the club I'd say the only opposition performances where I've thought, blimey he's good have been Ryan Giggs, Denis bergkanp, Rudolph Douala and willock playing for QPR last year. Therefore i would be pleased if we bought him.

Are people serious about Sander Berge? Didn't Sheff Utd pay £30M for him?! Great player, but way out of our reach. Willock from QPR is a good shout.

Styles is the one who rang rings round our midfield at Oakwell last season - looked a good player, although that was the game Siliki had a mare in 😆

Plenty of fish in the sea as they say — but I doubt very much we’re willing to shell out the cash to the club and more importantly their greedy agents.

Gonna be boring here and be realistic and say who I really think it will be:

Joseph Gibson

He made a few appearance on the bench towards the end of last season and was quite prominent throughout pre season.

Our midfield:

Crooks/Gibson
Howson/ New Midfielder (Hamza Choudhury)
McGree/Boyd-Munce

The lad mentioned who was L1 player of the year or young player, they're the ones i get interested in us signing.

The keeper we signed from Northampton, he was their player and players player of the year, these are good attributes. Bring them in, better facilities, coaching and being around better players should improve these players so if they're young and have sell on value lets have a look. Some will be like Olusanya, some will be like Jones and Spence. Worth a risk i think.

I'm off to google every L1 and L2 clubs players player of the year from last year

James McAtee, left footed, tons of ability, would get regular mins & can see a pass. - Loan from City.
He's played 18 minutes of professional league football...

Paddy Lane. We'd easily be able to sign him for £1 million, low wages, virtually risk free... There's loads of players in L1/L2.
