The DW is an excellent pub though. Really good atmosphere

Dove Pub to the "little" red brick Hammersmith Tube Station - 10 mins walk max - for Hammersmith & City Line.

Then Tube around 4 minutes to Shepherd Bush Market - 10 mins walk to the away end

Less than 30 minutes from Dove Pub to Away end queue.

The Dove pub is small but I like sitting outside when it is quiet with a lovely vista of old man Thames in front of me taking in 400 years of history from the timbers of the interior and the ghosts of past drinkers.

Up to the Victorian period the River Thames was the motorway and sewer of London and most of the developments were close to the River, particularly away from Central London. So the early pubs are close to the River.

Nothing changes then.

There's a Wetherspoons called The Central Bar which is located in Sheperds Bush. I remember it being in a shopping centre and it being pretty close to the ground. A lot of Boro fans were drinking in there last time I went.
