QPR V Bournemouth

There was an interesting incident at the end. QPR exerting pressure, there was a collision in the Bournemouth penalty area. A Bournemouth player went down clutching his head, and the ref stopped the game. Then the Bournemouth guy gets up and the pressure on their goal is ended. Nobody touched his head when you see the replay.

I think refs have to be told to play on even if it seems someone is injured, maybe seriously. It's just too easy for the defending team to cheat if refs stop the game.
I only saw the last 15 minutes or so but but still witnessed 3 episodes of play acting from Bornemouth players.

I understand what you are saying but I would rather the game was stopped for a head injury. It is better for someone to cheat than for someone to die or be seriously injured. With head injuries time is of the essence.
What I believe should happen is that the referee or FA panel review the situation and if it is found that cheating did occur punish both the cheat and his club retrospectively.

I don’t blame them in the first half I lost count of the number of times Bournemouth players were fouled after they had played the ball, it was ridiculous the ref kept waving play on but never once went back and booked or even just warned any of the QPR players.

Has any player ever died after an onfield collision? It's just too easy for defenders to stop the game now. Just play on.

Thats not Bournemouth that’s east of Portsmouth it’s no where near, it’s like callling Teessiders geordies
Sixteen minutes by car according to Google Maps. So it's more like Redcar to Middlesbrough.

Edit:

Raúl Jiménez most likely would have, had the game not been stopped and provided treatment.

I think the safety of the players is far more important than the flow of the game.

The real issue is the cheating, not the current rules.

Apparently he was born in North Hayling. Is that classes as Bournemouth?

He might live there now, but he's from Bournemouth.

His own LinkedIn profile has him as graduating from Kingsleigh Secondary School, which is in Bournemouth.

Your right then, definetly shouldn’t be reffing their games
