I suspect his asking price is already north of the 16m for rogers. Which for a teenage defender is a huge fee. Right now I don’t think k we will cash in unless he wants out and the advantage we have is that he wanted to play, he is playing and he’s getting better all the time. He will be promised first choice RCB next year, which will keep him here for at least a year.

Why? They’re not really done very much here or in Holland.

He reminds me of Robert Huth.A proper defender who's happy to give away a throw in, corner, etc and regroup as a defensive unit. He's made mistakes this year trying to pick off balls into forwards, but his attitude is very much oops, someone will have to deal with him for now, but I'm busting a gut to get back round and shore up the defensive line.
I hope we see him in a Boro team for a couple of years, but ultimately I think he'll end up playing for one of the top 10 European teams. Well done to all involved in persuading him to sign for us, and hopefully he'll contribute to an improved challenge next season.
