Reading to be deducted 6 points

'Reading Football Club will be deducted six points from the 2022/23 Championship table, after the Club admitted that it has failed to comply with the budget restrictions imposed'

Puts them just above the drop zone, was hoping they'd have a game against Sheff Utd to play but unfortunatley not.

I did think Reading would struggle this season and put them for relegation. I have been surprised they have kept out of the relegation battle, it looks like they have been spending more than they had which might explain their previous position.

They have to play Luton in 2 weeks time.

It's been looming all season, took a weirdly long time to be confirmed.

They play Huddersfield on the last day, could be tasty.

Looking at that new table I see the bottom two taking up two of the places for the drop. They don't seem to have it in either of them to make up the four or five points to the rest plus match their results.

Hudds will break free in true Warnock style and then it's one from the other four to go.
Reading will probably have enough to stay up on the last day and Cardiff and Rotherham whilst not technically great can scrap their way to the odd ugly win or two and grind out the few draws.
QPR on the other hand have been dog turd for an age now and it's them I'd most likely tip for League One.

Reading and QPR are hurtling towards the bottom 3 at an alarming rate. QPR mainly due to their performances on the pitch.

Looking at QPR's fixtures, then I think they're in big big trouble.

Huddersfield's fixtures aren't great neither - but as we saw on Saturday, they have a bloody genius in charge.

This only really affects us if we're still in this division next year.

If we are, I'd much rather have the likes of Huddersfield, Rotherham or Blackpool in the division than Reading and QPR. Nothing really against Reading, but no fixture on the list is more Meh to me. I know fans in the SOuth East will feel different about this.

By contrast, the northern clubs make for good away days and bring more to the Riverside.
QPR, Reading and Cardiff to go, though I think Wigan might be a lost cause.

If we are in the Championship next year and don't have Ramsay, I would be in for Chair at QPR. He fits our style of play perfectly and is wasted at QPR.

We have already unfolded the deck chair, slapped on some factor 50 and listening to the gentle waves crashing around us.

I've found a few straws to clutch here, but here's hoping this is a boost for Wigan ahead of their game against Sheff U on Friday!

When I put my 50 yr lists together I was surprised that Reading were in the top 20 for teams we have played most games against. As you say, in the main, totally unmemorable events (other than the Forshaw game).

I really hope Reading go down, the commentators on the ifollow at their place earlier this season were embarrasing. We were awful that day and they only beat us 1 nil and were hanging on at the end.

They were talking like they were prime Real Madrid!

A points deduction seems to happen every year to Reading and it doesn't really impact them. I don't understand why the points deduction isn't increased on each incident.
