Reading v Fulham.

They're bang in trouble. Defensive crisis, Sott Dann off after 7mins tonight, so he's got to be a doubt for the weekend.

Their back four for most of the game were Laurent a midfielder, Thomas Holmes a 21 year old and Ethan Bristow a 20 year old with 3 matches behind him, Tetek 19 year old with 4 starts.

unavailable players last night include: McIntyre, Ejario, Yiadom, Joao, Baba Rahman, Dann, Morrison, Halilovic, Liam Moore, Araruna, Azeez - some decent players out, so we gotta punish them.

Let’s hope they don’t have any positive tests before then with that injury list!

You just watch ... it's going to happen, isn't it?? The FA cup weekend left me with FL withdrawals badly, desperate to get back to watching Wilder's Boro keep that form going, and crush that MOTM/POTM curse that normally stops us in our tracks. :ROFLMAO:

Providing Covid leaves Reading alone, I'm looking at a comfortable win. Perhaps get to see a few of the new guys for half an hour or so, maybe a debut goal or two. Will Balogun be in contention does anyone know despite his Covid test last week??

I know he'll be in light training etc but wouldn't surprise me to see him in the matchday squad. Especially after we had young Boyd-Munce thrown straight into FA cup game, signing barely 24 hours earlier! Had a debut goal there n' all to cap it off

Got a wonderful feeling about Boro I didn't think it would come for a long time and got to say, since Wilder's come in .. I've been proven badly wrong. We mean business earlier than I expected and I think we're in for a brilliant era under Wilder. The right decision all the way and I'm glad he chosen us as his next challenge. Proud.

For what it is worth I think promotion this season will be a bit of a stretch looking at the top three, but the way we've been playing, getting better, responding quickly to CW's game ... I've no doubt we have just as good a chance as anyone else for top six below first, second, third ... those there now though are who I think will manage it this year. In what order, who knows.

Just feels good that I am finally looking forward to weekends again to see the Boro in action with a smile on my face. Obviously I hope my prediction is wrong and we are the shock 3rd side to go up this year

I hope we don't get suckered by Reading "playing for pride" after those two shocking results. You'd have to think they would be sweating blood to keep it at 0-0 for as long as possible.

Agreed, I said in the first half of the season we needed to be within 5 points of play offs and have a good january window. We seem to have ticked both those boxes.

I also felt that the auto positions had gone by beginning of November, but I'm now not quite ready to write those off. 9/10 points is a lot to catch up on teams that are winning two points a game. But we have caught up 9 points in the last 6 games on Fulham, and 8 on Bournemouth. So it's possible. We probably need 15 points in the next 6 matches or it'll start to look near impossible again
