Any recommendations, I know it's subjective.I like 19 Crimes, Yellow Tail so not a connoisseur.

The basic 19 Crimes red is actually ok.

Top recommendations would be Tesco's Carmenere (about £8 and excellent)
Cheapo ... if you have a Morrisons, they do a Spanish red Reino de la Vina ... two bottles for £11 which is ridiculous value.

Can't go wrong with this...

That looks posh, obviously I buy on how the label looks,Ta will check out
PS I used to live in SE10.Best time of my life 👍

This is thing, it does, goes down well and is actually decent. I've bought it in volume before for 'a do' and it was a good choice.

P.s. some of my fondest memories of London were spent in SE10.

How the bottle looks is probably the most important thing for a 'do'.

Most of us drinking it don't really notice the taste, certainly not after a couple of glasses.
I've worked in a bottling plant. The wine comes in inside huge plastic bags inside shipping containers. It's pumped into tanks and bottled. Same wine, different bottles, different supermarkets and different prices.

My preference for Spanish red wine is Ribera del Duero. Generally, they seem better to me than Riojas.

I suggest people try out this type if you can find them in the UK.
Coming in at 12-14 quid.Is it worth paying 50%more on red wine generally?
