Rees-Mogg Oh just go way

You could almost think he had a point, if he weren't referring to the serial liar Johnson, who has been proven on so many occasions to be an absolute liar.

"He also said the public inquiry into Covid should look into whether the lockdown rules were "proportionate" and suggested some rules were "inhumane"."

I wonder who set those rules then, and what the punishment for them should be if they were "inhumane"?
 
So either:

Johnson didn't know what was happening in his own residence/place of work. Despite actually having been present at some of these events. Meaning he's incredibly thick, naive or gullible and not remotely fit to continue as PM

Or

he did notice these events, but was lied to by his senior staff about whether they broke the rules. Meaning he didn't know the rules he was ultimately responsible for setting in the first place or was too thick to understand them. And can't even command the loyalty of his closest aides who must be running rings around him. In which case he's not remotely fit to continue as PM

Or

(And this is obviously the right answer) He's been lying all along. And is not remotely fit to continue as PM.

Obviously JRM knows this. It's all one big joke to him. He is literally laughing at the people who voted for him, they all are.

And sticking a metaphorical two fingers up at the rest of us knowing full well there's **** all we can do about it.
 
I simply cannot comprehend how anyone looks and listens to Rees-Mogg and thinks "yeah this guy represents me". Unless they've recently been thawed from a 1000 year old glacier.
 
I know some people who think JRM is a character, they had a good laugh when he pretended to fall asleep in the Commons.

They fall into a group of people that don't seem to understand that these politicians are real people, not tv characters.

The general level of political awareness amongst the general public is shockingly bad though. It's not surprising as it's not taught in schools. Politics and finance should be mandatory secondary subjects in my opinion.
