I have an Electrolux fridge freezer

Recently I put a loaf of sliced bread into the top drawer and it has steadily got de-frosted. Even now, about two weeks later it is not totally defrosted, but its not what you'd call frozen. A week ago I put another half loaf in he bottom of the three drawers, and that is now going through same process. I have bags of ice cubes in each of these drawers and they are all frozen solid still.

I put a fridge thermometer in the top drawer last night, and the temperature this morning was -10.

Anybody have any idea what is happening her and advice what to do. Thanks.

Ideal temp for a freezer is apparently minus 18-20 degrees. I normally have sliced bread in the bottom drawer - totally frozen but ideal in a toaster after the normal timer.

Further thought - is your fridge in a heated or an unheated room? And has it an adjustment for the temp?

Is the dial for controlling the temperature inside the freezer anything other than 0 "zero"?

Zero usually means freezer is off
