The only Boro player I ever booed was Yakubu at Wigan away when started the game but refused to run. He was a disgrace.Would never boo a Boro player but I always let out a little sigh when I see Barlaser in the team. Just clapped when he came on last night though
Because you're actively hindering the team that's why. I go wanting Middlesbrough to win, anyone who doesn't want that shouldnt come to the ground. How dare you voice your opinions! Pay your money and wave your flags!
the same manheads who fill the comments on every MFC post with 'we're *****' and 'Carrick out'
Give overSo is this you revealing yourself as a coward (bystander)?
The only time I could understand Boro fans booing one of our own players was when fans booed Gestede.
I didn't boo myself but I do believe he was taking the mick out of our club and it angered me when he turned down the opportunity to move to Millwall, instead choosing to sit on our bench and see out the reminder of his contract.
Barlaser on the other hand doesn't deserve to be booed. Yes, like many others his form has been poor for some time now, but I also feel he's been a victim of Carrick's stubbornness, in refusing to change the way we play.
Barlaser's been asked to play as the deepest midfielder and be the one to receive the ball from the CB, but teams have worked out that he struggles if pressed and have exploited his weakness. Carrick persisted with this tactic for too long.
Barlaser has always come across as a good pro to me and an honest player. It's not his fault that he can't perform to the standard we expect him to.
Granted I'm closer to the North Stand, but that's where I heard it from. Didn't hear any in the West as I would have called people out. There was boo'ing from every stand so to say it just came from the South isn't right. I was in the North and i heard them from every stand. When i seen him coming on i had a inner grumble, but i'd never boo a Boro player - unless the lad was openly vocal against the club or something, had gone AWOL, had slagged us off, was pushing for a move away etc there is always circumstances whereby boo'ing a Boro player can be merited but for a few bad performances i don't think thats right however, people pay their money and can express their anger or disapproval the same they can express their joy so each to their own just IMO its not for me unless the lads done wrong off the pitch.
Starts with on a serious noteOn a serious note however, I think this is the atmosphere that the club has created, I personally, have absolutely HATED the match day experience this season (Season ticket holer and won't be back) for mixture of reasons really. Barlaser for me has had a few bad performances, nothing too bad to warrant being heckled coming off the bench, if anything, I don't think he suits the "quarter back" style roll he's been given the past 5/6 games. Thrown under the bus I'd say!! but that's another can of worms we're obviously not allowed to discus comraids!!
There he is.So is this you revealing yourself as a coward (bystander)?
Pay and then actively increase the chances of the oppositionHow dare you voice your opinions! Pay your money and wave your flags!
If people boo they are only helping the opposition/hindering BoroThere is no right or wrong here.
If people want to boo - leave them to it
If people don’t want to boo - leave them to it
