Reveal yourselves cowards

Granted I'm closer to the North Stand, but that's where I heard it from. Didn't hear any in the West as I would have called people out.

Adults booing their own player coming on to the pitch completely baffles me. What sad lives these doyles must lead. I imagine they were school bullies who were sh*t at football.
In the West stand, they'd probably fallen asleep or were pouring a chocamochalatte from their flask into a suitable mug, by the time Barlaser was brought on.;)

Who boo’s a player for their own team?

Never done that, and never would, it's pathetic.

I've whinged or debated about lots of players on social media though, usually for something they've done wrong when I would expect better for the standard we are supposedly aiming for, but it's not their fault, they're only human and usually doing their best.

Booing the players won't help, it will likely only make things worse, but I suppose comments on social media would just do the same.

If I was a footballer I would really avoid SM, unless I was unreal for the level I was playing at, it can't be healthy.

I haven't booed the team or even one of our players as they left the field.
I will shout at specific incidents, but I genuinely find booing sounds daft.

But booing somebody before they even play is absolutely crackers.

I disagree with the SM comparison. A player does not have to go on social media, they have to seek it out.
They do have to enter the stadium, warm up and enter the field of play.
I can't see me ever booing an individual player of ours and certainly never before the lad plays.

There is no right or wrong here.

If people want to boo - leave them to it
If people don’t want to boo - leave them to it
I completely disagree. We all know it makes performances worse, makes winning games harder and makes the match day experience negative and toxic. All people talk about is I've paid my money and I have a right. No you fuc king don't. You don't have a right to ruin others match day experience that they have shelled out their hard earned cash for, so keep it shut or fu ck off.

When Brad Jones was booed other players said it affected them too
Even if it hadn't booing Boro players is proactively going to affect that player
It's only helping the opposition
If that's the aim go in the away and and do it

We 'know' it makes performances worse and winning games harder....... - evidence please? Or, are you going all Trumpian/Johnson on us?

In general, I don't care if people want to boo or not, I don't care if Red Faction sing the wrong songs or not, I don't care if people leave early or not.
It's called choice
Life's too short

I do wonder who would be left, and what it would be like, if everyone who did something others disliked didn't show up tho

If people want to boo a home player they aren’t welcome in the ground.

Unless it’s a Ramirez/Yakubu situation then absolutely no need at all

Barlaser has done nothing at all to deserve that, yes he isn’t the best player we will see in a Boro shirt but he couldn’t ever be accused of not giving his all for the team.
