Rich person /people you respect

Steve Gibson is an obvious choice for a reason👍 Self-made, has principles and not averse to writing his money off where his mouth is.

One Gunnar Solskjaer is one you don't hear much of for his work for various groups behind the scenes, in terms of time and giving.

And Jimmy Donaldson, only 25 but self-made and either invests the overwhelming majority back into video production or promotes and donates heavily to worthwhile causes.

Julian Richer, owner of Richer Sounds. Seems to have his head screwed on. Shops have always been decent, price match, fair with dealing with issues. Few years back he gave every employee a thousand quid for every years service they had. Out 60% of the company into an employees ownership trust too, which is how the giveaway was funded - the company "paid" him £9m of it but he gave £3.5m back to the staff to pay those bonuses.

Most people who have signed The Giving Pledge, like Warren Buffet before his death and the aforementioned Mackenzie Scott.

I don't respect Steve Gibson, because he's a F***ing Tory.
Warren Buffett is still very much alive. It was his right-hand man, Charlie Munger, who died this week.
