For those of you who knew him My cousin Dave Golightly has passed away recently.

Gillandi Miniature G & his brother Nigel began the fanzine with our David playing a part I think.

A proper boro fan & a person who listened so closely and lovingly to music it was a thing of beauty to watch him listen to it

The funeral is at St Hilda's chapel in the Crematorium at 10.45 on tues 12th of Dec.

All his family will be wearing a little bit of something red to acknowledge Dave's life long Boro affiliation

I have written a short note in the fanzine for Dave.
We are all very much saddened by his passing. We had a bit of a community in the old days. Davey the Postman would pop round and Gillandi would declare it a "change of pace." Davey would ask "what's funny," looking to latch on to some prime Roofus material.
Teesside Tony would drop his paper bombshell and leg it away from the office like the scarlet pimpernel - we never did catch him, no matter how quickly we raced after him through the door.
And all the while Dave Go Go would be hammering away at the keys, smirking, he would shake his head slowly in a world weary way. It wasn't like this in his former world of baking he would opine.
A real trooper, salt of the earth, a top character. North Stand stalwart.
Will be much missed.

I didn't know Dave but sorry for your loss.

Used to like talking to David in Dr Brown's before a game - never about the Boro but usually about some obscure blues tune that he'd heard that week. He used to DM me on Facebook with all sorts of interesting stuff he'd found, along with a few sentences about whatever the Tories were up to that week! RIP mate.
