Loved Bat Out of Hell the album, especially “Paradise by the Dashboard Light”, I remember the first time I ever heard it, on Paul Gambaccini’s radio Programme. Introducing it he said, “This is the ‘MacArthur Park’ of rock! ‘. He wasn’t wrong.

Ah b***ks 😞
Was only just listening to Faster Than The Speed Of Night yesterday.
Instantly recognisable style of writing and production, and masterminded the third biggest selling album of all time.

Legend is a word used all too frequently these days but as far as this guy goes it is merited. 'Bat out of Hell' one of the greatest albums ever made. It stayed in the album charts for years continually. I think it holds a record for this? In the late 1970s and early 1980s it was probably the most talked about album everywhere. Became the background music to many youthful romantic encounters, and teenage 'fumbling' first time sexual experiences fuelled by alcohol. RIP Jim and thanks for leaving us with those incredible lyrics.

More than you deserve is, by some way the best song he ever wrote. I smiled along listening to it for the first time. Great lyrics.
