My pleasure, my avitar for the week, sorry @CraggyjohnErimus. Thank you for that photo. Makes us all a bit sad though.
Perfectly put JonJon.The best left back I've seen in a boro shirt and part of the best defence we ever had.
RIP
I agree, but strangely with the exception of our very own John Craggs on the right. JC was very attack minded and frequently gave the Ayresome crowd heart failure with his penchant for dribbling out of defence. Terry Cooper was one of our great players of that era and as a kid I was astonished that an England international and First division star would come to us, even in the twilight of his career. The World’s first original wingback. Fullbacks were cloggers in those days who defended. Cooper changed the position. He was more like a winger with his mesmerising runs. RIP.
ABSOLUTELY !And also a better defender than given credit for.
Welcome back Michael_Vronsky, you & me had a few words before you left, hopefully that's behind us & you continue to postBeen away from the board as may know but wanted to log on to add my condolences to the thread about the great Sir Terry. What a player he was. A wing back before wing backs were even invented.
Good night Sir and sleep well...
