ROAD TO ROTHERHAM

Well-known member
Found the drive to Rotherham from the north last night very problematic .
Bad weather on top of delays and queuing.
Doing a long M Way journey next weekend and decided to check Highways England website for planned works .
The list is jaw dropping .
Are we rubbish at traffic management or is it just too much traffic on our tiny island .

Avoid Friday afternoons for long distance travel. Been dreadful for the last few months.

I think sometimes we cause our own problems by doing quick fix-it botch jobs patching up roads that quickly deteriorate when bad weather hits. Instead of resurfacing the road properly which would take longer, but over time would be more time and cost effective.

Loads of queuing yesterday with no lane closures or accidents or anything to see , once traffic got going again .
