Rogers starting for Villa today

Is that the same Rogers, who came on as 29th min sub against Luton, and was then subbed off in 79th min, that doesn't happen too often.

And has just been subbed off again after 62 mins, did not play well again today, he looks lost in the big league.

Well he was just finding his feet in the championship, no doubt helped by playing every week which was presumably the reason he left City.

Daft career move IMO and potentially setting him back just as he was looking settled and about to kick on. But won't have done his bank account any harm I suppose.

It was around £9m with add ons that could take it up to £16m allegedly. Even still. It was a decent deal for Boro. Good deal for Rogers.

Time will tell whether it was a good deal for Villa but I would guess it'll be one they'll regret.
 
It was a decent deal. But it set us back and highlights the flaws with buying youngsters to sell on at a profit. At some point you've got to build a team that takes you up. We were unable to build a promotion team with 50 million, so I'm not sure 9 million is going to do much.
