Are we really debating who we think is funny and who’s not? Maybe this is for another thread without Rosie as the title?
You missed Daniel Kitson off that list, who in my opinion is the best comedian around, slightly ahead of Stewart Lee.
I haven’t heard of him, shall investigate
It’s a tough call.. every changing for me.You missed Daniel Kitson off that list, who in my opinion is the best comedian around, slightly ahead of Stewart Lee.
I really liked Richards column in the evening standard but I can't abide his Stand up. Weird. It’s a tough call.. every changing for me.
He’s definitely up there! Can’t believe I missed out Richard Herring!
Yeah, I get what you mean.I really liked Richards column in the evening standard but I can't abide his Stand up. Weird.
Of course you are.Are you allowed to just say you think she's ****?
Now that we can agree on.Yeah, I get what you mean.
Rob Newman has blown Dan Kitson out of the water last two times I’ve seen him btw
Both Richard Herring’s parents are from Middlesbrough, although he loves to talk about how terrible the town is in his half joking way. His podcasts with Bob Mortimer as a guest are always great listens as he clearly loves and admires him both professionally and personally.I really liked Richards column in the evening standard but I can't abide his Stand up. Oh I should say this, my wife knows Richard. She had a blog a few years ago that was quite funny about life as a geriatric mother. She emailed Richard to chat about how to take it forward. They became quite good friends and we have been out to dinner with him. He is a lovely bloke. For balance!
I was sat just infront of him at the york game.. my wife told me on the way home. Both Richard Herring’s parents are from Middlesbrough, although he loves to talk about how terrible the town is in his half joking way. Much like bob, he is great conversationally. I just don't like his standup and I say that as someone who knows him, at least marginally, as a friendBoth Richard Herring’s parents are from Middlesbrough, although he loves to talk about how terrible the town is in his half joking way. I’ve been a fan since the Fist of Fun days and bought a few of his specials on DVD back in the day. They’re much better than the stuff I’ve seen him do on TV but I can see how some people might not get him the way I do. He’s a very good writer too but his podcasts over the years are where he’s really excelled. Some of the scripted sketch based ones have had me in stitches.Much like bob, he is great conversationally.
