Professional.. steady away, played two positions he's not designed for.
Substantially quicker than Engel on that 2nd half performance..
Also shouting and bossing a bit as the game went on .
For a lad used to having two passing options centrally , to play with a touch line ..
I think he looks a very very good signing

Yes, the lad is just a kid and he’s done all that’s asked of him and certainly not disgraced himself. Some of the stick he’s had has been unfair. Moving abroad, stepping into the championship and playing out of position as a kid in a team in crisis is not easy but plenty of signs that he’s got what it takes.

Was more impressed with him at LB than RB. I’m sure the kid will turn out a good signing for us.

I'm loathed to criticise Rav, as said above I do honestly believe he will be a mainstay eventually.

Buttttttt.... 👀

I thought his passing was pretty terrible, and he looked very uncomfortable in possession. Did improve second half at left back, but we were under much less pressure.

However! 🙌

I thought defensively he was good, especially when squared up against an attacker, he seems to have a natural ability to 'nick' the ball cleanly.

VDB will be a decent player I reckon. 19 and looks like he can hold himself at this level, and will be a good CB. Just not sure the rest of the team around him is a great environment for the lad to develop in.

I think he's shown enough already to prove he is a really good player, considering he's being played out of position in a team that's really struggling. I'm not saying we should be dropping Fry or Lenihan but I think RVDB could soon be easily our best centre half.
Well on the road to being that already.
Once Fry or Lenihan pick up a serious injury, they’ll have a job on their hands to get their place back from this young man.

He can obviously defend and has done his best in unfamiliar positions as people have said.

He’s certainly clunky in possession and going forward but he’s trying his best.

I’m sure he’s got a future as a decent CB for us.

Just moving him to LB stopped their rampage down that side. He plainly is very one footed and was very "conservative" in his passing but he did a great job.

Also shout out to Isiah Jones for his impact on t'other side of the pitch. The rest should feel embarrassed to pick up their wages this week. (I suppose Dieng was fine too)

He could turn out to be the new Colin Cooper who played in every defensive position for us over his 2 spells playing for the Club…. Including in goal!
