I agree with this I think most are guilty of jumping on players quite quickly. I never did with saville I always said we signed him as an attacking midfielder and played him DM but I'm just waiting on Bettenelli starting to play like Lev Yashin. I generally look for certain attributes in certain positions and if a new signing shows them without playing well I'll still have faith and give them time. Fletcher is the one who has proved me wrong the most in recent times.

Bettinelli was good yesterday.
 
He could be just instructed to just kick it as far as he can as we know Warnock doesn’t like playing out from the back. I can’t imagine him doing that when he played for Fulham. I’ve got no concerns about Bettinelli at the moment.
