Season ticket/walk up price - Maritimo

Thought some on here would be interested in how much worse walk up prices are in other leagues.

We are in Madeira and have got tickets to see Maritimo vs Porto.

Season ticket would have been 100 euros.

Single match 60 euros.

If they were playing home twice in the week we were here we would have season tickets!
 
I suspect it is to take advantage of tourists and I suspect Porto would be the most expensive match.

(We were speaking to a local last year - he said it is normal for most folks here to support maritimo and one of porto/sporting/benfica)

It was 5-10 Euros last year when covid was an issue.
 
I wonder if attendances in Portugal are similar to in Scotland? A small, dedicated core of home supporters, but massive travelling support when the big clubs are in town.

I can see a model like that working in Scotland. You can't charge travelling fans more for the same seats, but if all your home support has STs, you could still fleece the visitors without breaking rules
 
It must be because they are playing playing porto. A quick google give their normal prices between 12.50 and 30 euros

I like that. The frothing from the good folk of Glasgow (of either and both colours) would be hilarious.
