Sheff Wed Boss Grilling

The manager is not trying to set new records for the worse start to a season. The manager says he is frustrated / disappointed, and for the interviewer that is not enough. What does the interviewer want - self-flagellation?

I could not watch more than a couple of minutes. I don't know the full story, but it's clear that the on field results are not solely down to the club manager. The manager has a good track record elsewhere. But no doubt they will sack him and replace him with someone else as a sticking plaster solution to a broken leg.

I actually don’t see any issue with the interviewer, maybe we are just too used to poor journalism asking very basic and easy to answer questions?

Whenever Boro are doing crap, fans constantly ask for the difficult questions to be asked.

The manager wasn’t giving proper answers when being pushed.

Good point tbf
It’s a lot easier to “win” an argument when the person you’re speaking to doesn’t have much of a command of the language and doesn’t totally understand what you’re saying. I don’t think the interviewer has much respect for the manager and some of that is because he can’t bite back, because of the language.

An English speaker would have snapped back, or twatted him.

No way he’s speaking to Dyche or Souness or Duncan Ferguson like that.

Agree. Most of it was fine in my opinion. Manager didn’t answer the questions correctly most of the time

True.

I see points for both sides, I still think it was a good interview.

Personally don't agree with this at all. Yes Mr reporter ask your questions and probe for meaningful answers but this is borderline aggressive and there is no need for it.

The reporter has let his emotions get in the way for me.
Yeah I agree.

People are too used to "the game this Saturday - it's a chance to get 3 points isn't it?

I felt some of it was direct and good questioning. Some of it was a bit ridiculous. Questioning a player decision or naming players to play is very much pub discussion.
