What about the people they mix with, are their children picking up from school, what about cleaners, kitchen staff, secretaries, ground staff, etc. You only need one person not to have followed the rules and it starts the spread. That wouldn't explain it given there are stringent protocols that clubs should be following and footballers in the Championship aren't going to be living in densely packed squalor.
They've missed half a dozen matches because of repeated Covid outbreaks, it's not bad luck, they're clearly not doing their jobs properly.
There are plenty of clubs operating in deprived areas with equally difficult Covid numbers to challenge. I’d say it’s not down to bad luck.Or is there something wrong with the health of the people in a deprived area.
What are they doing in that town - most teams who have an outbreak seem to recover quicklyRotherham have just announced another 25 positive cases of COVID.
They'll be relegated before that anyway.9 points from safety.
Could we relegate them on 24 April?
They called off our game in December 1 hour before the kick off and failed to inform Derby team about it. Our team turned up at their ground and found out via security man FFS that's embarrassing Rotherham. After Christmas EFL threatened Rotherham with Points deduction or fines if they called off the games again etc. It's just from Rotherham. Article from the BBC says:
"Rotherham United have recorded 25 positive Covid-19 cases in the latest week of testing.
The English Football League said 25 positive tests had been found among 5,533 players and staff from 72 clubs, with 71 returning no positive results."
doubt it, because they might be forced to play Sat-Tue-Thu-Sat like we were in teh prem. It's the only way to fit in their gamesMust be honest, I've long suspected there's more to Rotherham's covid situation than meets the eye. Would they see it as an advantage having games in hand and knowing what they need to do to stay up?
In the interests of pedantry, we did win 3-2 at Hillsborough on the second-to-last day of the season in 1992/93 but other results meant we could still stay up if we beat Norwich at home on the final day. We also needed there to be a ten-goal swing in the goal difference in our favour, but Boro drew 3-3 and Oldham beat Southampton 4-3 so relegation was confirmed. They did relegate Lennie's team on the last day in 93, but it was Bruce's Babes in 89 who weren't in the bottom 3 until Sheff Wed beat us on the last day.
