Incredible after last season. The second season syndrome strikes again.
Have to say, I like the look of McBurnie. What a handful he is. Almost a throwback to strikers in the seventies.

I might be wrong but i'm sure they had a terrible back end to last season (when matches resumed with no fans).
Seems to me that they have suffered massively from the lack of fans in the ground.

............ or they've just been found out. Credit to them for getting to the Prem but I've always felt they were massively over achieving with the squad they had.

Wilder knows it too.
It's all about building for next season now.
I think they have a decent squad for next season because I can't see many teams cherry picking their players like most clubs do to relegated teams.
I still look at Sheff Utd's squad and think of it as a Championship squad. Even last season when they finished 10th I still thought their squad was well and truly punching above their weight.
Brewster must be thinking WTF has he done though. He's gone from warming Liverpool's bench, winning trophies, to warming the bench of a team who desperately need goals and look like going down with a whimper.
I don't know why they spent so much money on him, just to give him cameo appearances.

I’m not so certain . They know they’re going down As no manager is gonna save them , so it would be feasible if they hang onto him to come back up ? Just a thought

As said above, they’ve got a squad of good championship players. They were playing above themselves last season and it’s difficult to keep consistently doing that. Recruitment was pretty poor this season and they’ve made no signings that improve them.
Not really any point sacking wilder, it’s not as though anyone would do better with this squad and I can’t see them investing heavily in the next window.
Most players will likely stay for at least one season in the championship.

Dunno, if they can get the first win under their belt you never know, I would not write them off yet Wilder is a brilliant manager
