Should we appeal the red card?

Think a few have said they can't do that anymore. Or at least not for a "frivolous appeal". Assume they still can if they think the offence was worse than it was but unlikely anyone would view that one as violent conduct!

Outside the box by a fraction of a mile, maybe, but we'll outside. VAR would have overturned the penalty 100%.

It might have done based on the position of the foul but it wasn't clearly and obviously not a foul so the red card would have still stood. Hence the rejection of the appeal.

As I said earlier, I can't see a foul when looking at the footage BUT I can't see enough evidence to say it wasn't a foul. I just hope that the referee has had his feedback and been told that at very best the red card was dubious and the penalty was a definite error.

It was worth asking the question I suppose, nothing lost.
