Should we be judged on our writing skills on a football forum?

Beggar i missed that comma.
Do you think you could just ‘push’ past the grammar kn0bheads and make your point ? (Ie don’t be sensitive to their attempts at being superior to you)
Whilst they are analysing your grammar they are not thinking about the subject matter hence showing their own lack of awareness of the importance of the subject being discussed, of course though, if you’re writing is so poorly constructed that we can’t interpret it then you need to get on an English course 👍🤷‍♂️

It’s a football forum, so grammar isn’t that important, really. Unless the intended meaning is lost or can be interpreted in several ways.

She was a hard, working girl vs. She was a hardworking girl. Two different things.

Using the wrong word is off-putting to the reader.
Where, wear, we’re, were. Being, been, bean. Too, to, two. There, their, they’re. Mixing those up will stop me reading mid sentence, to check I haven’t lost the thread.

On one hand, bad spelling looks lazy or badly taught. On the other, William Shakespeare couldn’t spell his own name consistently. Of his three surviving signatures, each is spelt differently, and he knew a bit about writing.

I don’t have an English qualification btw. Not one.
