Silvera

How many goals has he scored so far this season?
6 goals in just 13 starts

Someone was using him as an example of our terrible transfer policy the other day. I pointed out he was actually ok, and improving and I stick by that.

Silvera is 🐶 💩 needs filing along with ‘Carrick never makes good substitutions’, I believe we’ve had 12 goals and 8 assists from the bench this season

How many goals has he scored so far this season?
Three in the league I believe, his all round game was good today, strong when being challenged, good finish, worked hard, you could see him growing in confidence with his effort of a chip from 35 yards, although Riley didn't look happy!

We have a few player with potential to get double figures if given the opportunity to play .
With passed results in mind , I’ll just enjoy each game as it comes and hopefully hungry players hitting double figures will give us all something to look forward to .

Think we need to sort him out with a loan move in the summer.

There is potential there but we need him to be playing regularly for his development.

Eh ? You are clueless Parmo it's obvs you don't go to games.....
Most games he's started this season I've been unimpressed, which I admit hasn't been many.

He's had moments for us this season but I'm still not confident he can perform consistently for us as a starter.

The thing is though, when everyone is fit he’s probably 3rd choice in any of the attacking positions.

We can’t keep everyone in the squad next season on the off chance we get another 12 injuries again.

I look at the Silvera that started the season with us compared to now and I think he’s most certainly improved.

At the start of the season he was extremely raw. Decision making was very poor. He’d often run at players and not release the ball when he should have, and his finishing was abysmal (Coventry away and Huddersfield at home spring to mind - missed sitters).

I think his decision making and finishing is becoming a lot better and he’s becoming more composed. Today’s finish was top drawer.

He was potentially trying a little too hard at the start of the season. It can’t be an easy transition moving from a Farmers League like The A League into one like ours.

I’m not saying he’s the Messiah by any stretch. He’s got a long way to go and lots to improve but he’s got a bit of pace, and he is on an upward trajectory. He made some intelligent runs in behind today.

He can be effective up top when sides play such a high line. Not convinced about him at home when sides sit deeper, but he can play all across the front line and still I think he’ll be better suited to playing wider in the future.

I certainly wouldn’t be looking to loan him out next year, barring some serious transfer business in attacking areas.

Good shout. Let’s decide on our first choice 11 then loan everyone else out yea? 👍

Surely if nothing else, this season has taught us we need a squad
If Silvera is going to come on then he needs to be playing games, not sitting on the bench, which has been the case for the majority of the season.

Loan him out somewhere where he's likely to get plenty of game time and then we can aim to bring a squad player in on loan.

We then may find that by the following season we have a real player on our hands.
