Sketchers

I’ve been suffering from Plantar Faciitis through running too much and was advised to buy a pair of these. I normally wear Converse which are dead flat and probably contributed to the problem too. I had to go back to the shop twice before I could bring myself to buy them, but they are good and I can walk better so as long as no one sees me in them then they’re a useful tool To getting me back running.

No brand comes close to Converse for ruining feet. All the support of those heritage elasticated plimsolls folk wore before sneakers came along - or so I have heard. Obviously I'm not old enough to vouch for this first-hand. 🥴

I am a Sketchers fan - bought a couple of pairs on a 60% discount when Debenhams closed.

Also bought a pair for heavier walking from their store in Teesside Park. Their soles have a gap to give more cushioning.

I have the physique of Chris Wilder/Ian Botham so my feet, ankles and lower limbs take some punishment when walking a few miles or more.

Sounds like they are the male equivalent of women wearing 6 inch stilettos, rather look cool than be comfortable for some people.
I have a pair and they are indeed a magnitude more comfy than any Adidas show that I own or have ever owned.

Really good shoes for the summer. Their golf shoes are the best I have ever had.
I've had the opposite experience sadly, and feel like I've wasted my money. They are super comfortable for walking around the course in, agreed. However, for a golf swing the toe end of the shoe and the upper must be too soft or something, and my toes bash in to the end with every swing. I end up completely sore toes by the end of the round. Reverted back to my old adidas yesterday!

I wish I hadn't bought Sketchers golf shoes :(

A recent convert when her indoors bought me a pair, I am now looking at the trail running version ("GOrun") for a half way between trainers and walking shoes.

As an unrelated question; whatever happened to the poster formerly known as "Comfortable_Shoes" is he still with us or have I merely lost track of his latest nom de plume?

Have been wearing them for a few years (not constantly; that would be weird) and they really are super comfy. I'm at the stage in my life where comfort trumps fashion.

I could be wrong (and I normally am), but there's a user with a related name, something like Comfort's comforter that I had assumed was one and the same.
