So, Ryan Giles.....

You'd think stopping the supply to Giles is the priority (if he plays). Once he's in or around the box the cross will come in.

That said as above he's not a particularly good defender. So you also have to target his weakness. You think we should know all of his 'weak' points more than anyone. They watched him in training every day for a year.

A lot more to Hull than Giles. I'm not that fussed as to weather he plays or not. I'd tell Jones to get right at him from the off. Also Ayling is a decent out let on the right. We saw plenty of overlapping players roast Giles last season.

Looking at Giles bare stats you might think he had been poor for hull with just 1 assist. However he is quite high in the chances created list when compared to championship defenders.

But here is the rub. He is still a woeful defender. I mean really bad in every defensive statistic.

Might just be coincidence, but teams generally score down the left when Giles is playing...

James scored as a LW for Leeds. Hoever scored as a LB for Stoke.
Furlong as a LB for West Brom. Rudoni as a LW for Huddersfield.

His first three games for Luton, 5 goals were conceded from his side before he was dropped.

Not many are scored vs. Hull down the other side. He seems to be the weak link.

Considering we are both on the same points, Hull aren't quite the "Real Madrid" of the East Riding.(n)

Doesn't have a poacher like Chuba to convert them. Is Connolly around to play us?

Doesn't this mean that Hull are conceding down the opposite side to Giles?

That's true. I think had he spent the entire season with us his figures would be no where near his stats from last season.

Is he better than Engel? Probably but I don't think there is much in it.
