it’s not new though as during one of the many court cases Rudy when asked what evidence he had found had occurred he said under oath that there wasn’t any. Actually his exact words were a number less than one.

This is confusing. Is he saying that anyone can say anything they like but when taken to court for libel, admit that what they are on trial for was false, knowing it was false at the time they said it, but believe it was OK to do so.?
 
Fox News and Tucker Carlson used the same defence, literally saying that the opinions expressed by Carlson were clearly not to be taken seriously.
The GOP have taken democratic politics into a dark place that is bordering on being that of a dictatorship. Once the Democrats realise that then they can start to undo some of the archaic and frankly baffling mechanics of US politics such as the filibuster and electoral college and start to make representation reflect voter demographics.
 
I stole an election once but my dad found it in my coat pocket and marched me down to the police station and a big burly copper yelled at me and I had to give the election back and say sorry to everyone and I was grounded for a month. Sound parenting that. I never did it again.
 
It's a common defence against potential defamation cases being brought upon comedians/comedy shows.
The fact that it is being used by right-wing mouthpieces surely shows that they are, in fact, nothing more than jokes themselves.

Seriously? THAT is her defence. She is FUBAR'ed and Donnie will not be there to support her, in fact he will throw her under the bus and state she knows there was fraud.

They'll win the lawsuit, if that is the primary defence because there is far too much evidence of people believing what she said.

I hope they go after Donnie next, because his defence will be other people told me it is true, and I was the president I can do what I want. However the president is not free to act without repudiation and repeating a defamation from a cohort can be defamation too.

Back to Sidney Powell, if she's trying to claim Dominion's lawsuit is a SLAPP then that'll fail so badly, she's gonna be living in a cardboard box after this and I would think she'll be disbarred regardless of the outcome as she is effectively stating that she is spreading knowingly false information for effect in a legal role.
