So what the hell is Harrison Minturn?

20 yrs old. Been previously loaned to Gloucester City and Chippenham Town. Played 18 games this season. Signed a 1 year contract extension in November.

Swindon are currently 17th in League 2.

That's about as much as I can find

If there’s anything in this I assume he’s a young player we think we can develop. Alan Nixon not the most reliable though.

Just been on the Swindon forum. They are up in arms that we are trying to poach a young player with potential who has just signed a contract extension.

Why come here when he wouldn’t get a game? It’s purely money apparently.

They think they should ask for £5-10 million as that’s what he might be worth in a few years time.

😉

They seem to like this guy over at Swindon...

"20 years old. Good height, good build and comfortable/confident on the ball.
Give him elite coaching and we'll be talking about Minturn in the same way as we talk about Twine within a few years."

"Minturn's career will follow the Sean Morrison trajectory if he stays clear of significant injury. He will be a regular starter at a Championship club by his mid 20's, and we will see lots of comments on here of, we could do with a Minturn type player now."

"Shame if we lose Minturn. Composed on the ball, and as has been said on here - elegant at times. He clearly cares too. Defensive lapses have obviously been there, but in his first “proper” season that’s to be expected. I’d prefer to keep hold of him and partner him up appropriately - and if we have to sell for six figures one day, fantastic."

If he can score goals from corners like Sean Morrison then he is worth his weight in gold. Saying that, if Matt Clarke had hair, he might have scored two on Saturday!

I wonder if our links with them due to Sol Brynn alerted us.
Scott does like to buy a youngster or two each window so he can put them in a plant pot and decorate the place. They don't get to play though.

More seriously, this does feel like exactly what Villa are planning with Rogers. Get someone with potential while he's still relatively cheap. Loan him out for a season or two and see if he makes it. We don't need a central defender right now but give it a couple of years and we might do.

Social media suggest their fans aren't huge fans, and he's been a part of a team whose conceded about 70 goals so far this season...
