Sol Bamba?

Just been posting about him in back to basics thread. Would he be worth a punt as manager?

I think it would be dependant on the backroom staff. If he had stayed here with Warnock I could have seen a route for progression. Like Woodgate with Pulis
 
Bring it on! I personally prefer we don't appoint another rookie and think we need to get over the obsession with past players, but I'd make an exception for Sol. He's a cracking guy and a very intelligent footballer.
 
He's a top guy, but we need experienced professionals in key roles.

I wasn't even happy at the idea of finding him a coaching role. If he goes and really learns the role elsewhere he'd be an absolute yes, for me. Carrick hasn't enough experience really, but with a strong number 2 could be great.

Too soon for Sol.

We can't afford to keep appointing people to learn on the job.
