Sol Brynn

Article says

"He's Boro through and through. He wants to come in and help that team. His main goal is to finish the season on a high, come back in pre-season ready to smash it and challenge to be the No.1."

I wonder if we'll use him as a number 2. Glover might get himself a move to a lower championship/upper league 1 team as a number 1. Did well when he came in for seny

I've been watching the Orient message boards most of the season, the general feedback seems to be that he's done well, with the odd mistake and the odd match winning/saving performance, they'd be happy to have him back next season.

He's definitely got the potential, but that's all it is at present, at 23 he needs more experience to be a No.1 at a higher level than League 1. GK's in my view need 2/3 season's as No.1 at a lower level to make the step up, it's such a specialist position that needs so much discipline it takes longer to reach a point where they can play at the top level. He needs to step up and a have a season lower end Championship or perhaps top end Scottish premier league club, before he could be considered a No.1 at a team (like Boro) who are looking to be top end Championship or lower end premier league. Another loan season for me, he may be ready after that.

2nd choice keeper is a tricky spot.

Dieng has been an excellent signing, there's no reason for him not to be number one next season.

But Brynn's not going to develop sat on our bench, if we want him to be our starting goalkeeper in the future, he needs to be playing.

I'd stick with what we have and loan Brynn out for at least another season.

Not a huge fan of Glover's, but he's okay if he's just there as back-up.

That’s probably the best solution all round. Or if one of the promoted or bottom end champ sides wants him on loan

The fact that his agent is in the media probably suggests he's looking for a new club in the summer. Otherwise, what's the benefit of the quote?

Same agent as Hayden Hackney, Ben Gibson, and Jonathan Woodgate

To press for a new loan at a higher level

Said it on another thread recently, can't see why he shouldn't be our number 2 next season, if he's done 2 full seasons in 1st and 2nd divs he's either ready or not good enough for championship, needs the chance to prove it with us

If he's number 2, he's not going to prove anything unless there's an injury.

Not too impressed with Glover. I would be happy for us to give Brynn a chance - he seems to have been waiting for a chance for years.

When this question comes up I always tell fans to watch the episode of Ben Foster's podcast about the different roles of #1 #2 and #3 keepers.

Sending Brynn out on loan would suggest we see him as a future #1 - if we saw him as our #2, he'd probably have been on our bench this season and we wouldn't have signed Glover.
